- TETina EMay 8, 20251.0This was one of the most upsetting experiences I’ve ever had with a tax office. They rushed through my documents and told me I owed over $16,000 — which made no sense. When I questioned it, the preparer dismissed me and wouldn’t take the time to review anything, even after I pointed out a clear mistake. I was asked for ridiculous documents, like my 13-year-old son’s proof of residency. I left the office in tears. Thankfully, I got a second opinion and found out their entire estimate was wrong. I wouldn’t wish this stress on anyone. Be careful before trusting them with your taxes.
