Quality forest management is of great concern to us now, but especially for the future of our forest environment. As members of the New York State DEC Cooperating Forest Consultant Program, Future Forest Consulting, Inc ( FFC ) is interested in furthering the education of landowners with respect to resource management. More and more landowners are realizing the benefits that professional management can have in increasing the health and productivity of forest resources. Consulting currently manages over 50, 000 acres of property throughout the Western, Central, and Adirondack Regions of New York. FFC has experience in managing large tracts of land in excess of 1, 000 acres, but also provides high levels of service to smaller ownerships less than 10 acres. FFC focuses on optimizing forestland use and productivity, while working with a landowner to achieve their desired objectives and stewardship goals. FFC looks at property management holistically, taking into account the interrelation of wood, water, wildlife, recreation, and aesthetics. In many cases, landowners forgo their interests in the other amenities of property management, by making hasty decisions based on what "money they can get out of the trees." These hasty decisions can have severe long-term ramifications, many times that are irreversible during the lifetime of the landowner. - MSMike SNov 17, 20235.0I first learned about Future Forest Inc. from a recommendation from the DEC. I was in the process of applying for a RegenNY grant to remove a dense invasive overgrowth of Honeysuckle and Autumn Olive in an old farm field that also had some native tree growth. But, the Honeysuckle was so thick one could not walk through the area. I wrote the first draft of the RegenNY Grant with Future Forest Inc. as the reference, required commercial Forester. My contact there has been Tyler Jensen. Tyler re-wrote it with more detail and an overview of the area to be tree planted and invasives removed. The first phase of work was Honeysuckle invasive removal. Future Forest Inc. commandeered no less than three sizes of Fecon mulchers in December of 2022 and brought them to my place in succession to remove ALL of the invasive overgrowth effectively. They really cleared out the old Honeysuckle. In 2023 the plan called for spraying the Honeysuckle sprouts that returned from both roots and from previous seed droppings. Tyler Jensen and an associate from Future Forest came out twice to perform the spraying and they were exceptionally thorough as can be seen from these pictures after spraying. At this time, Future Forest Inc. has selected the tree species to plant and has placed the tree order for the spring. I have every confidence that the tree planting will be as effectively planned and executed as all of the other work has been. The Foresters at Future Forest are busy, but, they always return my phone calls and questions in a timely manner. I would highly recommend Future Forest Inc. for invasive removal, invasive spraying and tree planting projects, which, mine had all three combined. Plus, Future Forest Inc. of Naples work always meets New York State requirements for grant reimbursement. Very, very important.

We have had two logging events and they have been very good at satisfying all of our requests and both his logger and he have gone above and beyond! For example, Recently Cory cleaned up from some logging we had done and he made my trails so easy to walk and ATV through. He even cleaned up an old overflow that was not part of the logging event. He was aware that I lived out of state and took advantage of this. Don't trust a thing he says!!!! Do your research as he has been in many law suits for this practice.
