Was told I would get $1,000 app free back within 7-10 days if we changed our minds, almost one month later I still haven’t gotten my money back. They will not return calls and cooperate says they haven’t requested it. Please do your research and make sure you are certain before giving them money !!

I decided to do another edit and compromise with a 4 star. We have been in our home for over 5 years. The roof was an issue that we ended addressing ourselves, but after I carefully considered the price of our home vs the price of even site built that have triple the price tag and just as many issues it seemed fair to readdress my review. The only thing we had an issue with was the roof. It's big yes, but the fix was not terrible expensive and every single thing else in our home has held up beautiful. No one walks in our house and thinks it feels like a trailer. It is solid, and usually the first words are OMG, your house is so pretty. Our cabinets for the most part have stood up well, especially for the a active family of four. I can say dispise the issues, I will likely suggest my son buy a sunshine home from Star when he is ready to put a home on his property. ***another edit*** Sunshine sent someone out....but then nothing. The inspector took pictures, said we needed a new roof. Then nothing. Multiple calls to Sunshine and then they are telling us we need to retake all the pictures of damage and resubmit them! After their own inspection said we have a leaking, poorly installed roof, and interior damage. My next step is filling a formal complaint with HUD or a lawyer. *edit* so still a 5 star for Star homes, but almost 4 yrs in and roof is still leaking. But I will say Sunshine was super quick to get someone out. Working with Sunshine to get a new roof put on. So my family has been in our house now for over three years. I waited on a review to see how it would be down the road. Now, there were some issues that needed to be worked out, but that is always the case. Every friend I have that has built a house had issues bigger than ours. I would recommend Sunshine homes. We had a roofing issue that Star's guys couldn't get fixed, but they sent the construction crew from the factory. My roof has been great since. I still love my home. Just plan that the carpet isn't the greatest quality and be prepared to paint over the flat paint if you have kids and/or pets. The truth in lending was great. Our mortgage came in right where I estimated and where Wendy quoted. The quality of my Sunshine home and them working through the bugs was as best as could be expected when building/moving a new home to your property.
