    The staff are very warm and welcoming, particularly Linus at the front desk. My personal trainer, Chris is really great at what he does and I’m loving the fitness world app that I’m using to track my nutrition and fitness goals. Some feedback about the facility, the loud music, the tv screens and the bright lights make it a little too stimulating (I have brought this up to management and they have ignored my concerns) and I find myself feeling anxious during my workout as it is a little too much to take in, coupled with how busy the gym can get. While I understand that they can’t control the number of people, I wish the management would do a better job of understanding the concerns of neurodiverse people and those with accessible needs.

    Great location lots of space, love having massage chairs, compression sleeves for legs, massage gun. Also big space for doing workout like box jumps other workouts not by the machines. GM Cody is great at this location.

    The trainers are amazing and the equiments are great, but the place is not very clean, and the service is just average. Every time I needed to reach someone, I had to call two or three times before getting a response. I asked to reduce my membership to the lowest level and was told there would be a $30 fee. When I decided to cancel instead, they said it wasn’t worth it if I ever wanted to rejoin. So, I kept it — even though I barely went. Later, I was charged $62 without any notice or receipt. When I finally spoke with the manager, I was told it was the annual fee. Nothing was waived despite the inconvenience, and now I’m required to give a 30-day cancellation notice, which will also be charged. I got diverse concerns in other situations unfortunately. Overall, make sure to read the full contract carefully — they definitely won’t highlight the small print for you.

    This gym is absolutely terrible! I’ve never seen staff so unwilling to help or provide proper service. The managers are always rude, and the gym is constantly disorganized. The equipment is worn out, and there’s always something broken. If any other gym opened near Marine Drive, we would definitely switch right away. Hi Cod, thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, the review isn’t just about that. But I’m glad you brought it up. In fact, you didn’t even ask for my ID when I first signed up. Plus, just a week earlier, I brought another friend and we all got the full free trial days without presenting a BC ID. I even offered you a different form of ID and you refused, saying it had to be from BC — which has never happened before with anyone else I’ve brought to the gym. It honestly felt very personal, considering this has never been an issue with other team members. Also, at no point were you willing to help me. I left because you said my friends couldn’t come in, even though I offered an alternative form of ID. On top of that, the negative review also talks about several issues that many people usually face at the gym. I hope you can address those as well 😊

    I redeemed a towel on the app over 4 months ago, and since then every time I’ve asked about it, I’m told they’re out of stock with no idea when more will arrive. I even set a reminder to check in monthly so I wouldn’t forget. At one point, I asked if they could arrange for a towel from another branch (which had stock at the time), and was told they’d look into it—but I never heard back. I’ve also sent 3 emails with no response. Today I called and spoke with Cody, who told me there was nothing he could do. He even said I shouldn’t have redeemed anything on the app because only staff are supposed to redeem for members. Yet the app still allows members to redeem rewards, so how is that fair to say now—months later—without ever informing me before? When I asked if I could at least receive a different item instead of the towel I’ve been waiting on, I was told no, because there’s “no way to verify” whether I had already received the towel. Completely unreasonable. This entire process has been frustrating, unprofessional, and dismissive. I expected at least a basic level of care and accountability, but did not receive it. The management has lost my trust, and I will be escalating this matter beyond this review.
