I came to the Honda service center seeking expert help for an emissions issue on my niche vehicle, trusting their specialized knowledge and accepting the high cost for quality work. While the staff were friendly and initially provided a solution, the $2,000 repair didn’t resolve the issue. A week later, it was revealed the actual problem was a catalytic converter, leaving me with the same unresolved issue and facing an additional $5,000 repair cost. I walked away a very unhappy customer with less money in my account and no resolution to the problem I came in to fix.

started this encounter over the phone with bob a manager that was apparently just helping out this store, I verified the make, model and trim of the car i wanted and bob sure enough said yes i have that in stock I also texed him verifying this so no discrepancies arose when i arrived but little did i know i should have had him tell me he did via email or text or perhaps another employee as witness because when i got there he said he in fact did not have that exact vehicle and did not in fact tell me twice over the phone over 2 occasions i said bob come on u got my text it shows u got it an hour ago and he shoves the phone in my face saying u saw i didnt receive i wasnt on my phone when u looked, im lost for words when its on his phone saying received an hour ago but yet fails to apologies that its right there in his hand as proof of it being sent/received i said bob its right there and he gets right in my face and asks if im calling him a liar i ask bob to make this a pleasant experience and he starts to walk away from bob so i have to call out to his name and ask bob regardless im still here to buy a car are u just going to walk away from me without saying anything and he says i dont have the car what do u want, i replied options? he said well hes a car how about that one, i go bob again u know the car i want and its not this one then he goes fine ill get you your car from another dealer ship its going to be 500 more for the color you want and at least 1000 for delivering it i go oh goodness then i might as well and save 1000 and just drive to that one so he chuckles and says good luck and continues walking away. never in my life have i been talked to in such a worthless way and treated like an annoyance when im trying to buy a car. for a manager to treat customers like this for who knows how long and get away has me questioning hondas values. hondas a great car but id gladly pay more to on a vehicle then to ever experience customer service from bob ever again. ill go out of my way to make sure all my friends and family never does business with bob from first honda in simi vally

The "consultant" that answers the phones (when this dealership decides to answer the phones) talks over you. She needs to learn to listen.
Why aren't the Service Advisors answering? Many other Honda dealers are as busy if not busier, and they still answer their phones along with their other tasks.
