  I recently visited the Express Factory Outlet at 1 Mills Circle, and I have to say, it was a delightful shopping experience!   My very first time visiting...there were more employees than customers...actually I was the only customer in the store....there were about 4-6 employees standing around socializing...not one acknowledged or welcomed me...wow!!!

  Went in this location a few days ago to find my son something for his graduation ceremony considering I’d got his prom suit from this location and he loved it but he didn’t find anything however my daughter did and I encountered a employee named Amanda who rudely let me know her name as I was leaving the store as if she just knew my complaint wouldn’t get her any consequences or fired 😂 I’m laughing while writing this comment because her energy and lack of customer made it obvious she gets no consequences for her actions but back to the issue at hand she lied to me about not having rewards and I knew and I knew she was lying because Express had emailed me multiple times that day about using my express cash and in the midst of my trying to look for it meanwhile with 2 cashiers and only one other customer behind me she acted like me trying to pull up the email to show her was inconveniencing her then headed me my daughters dress and receipt with no bag and I asked where’s the bag she stated I asked if you wanted one and you said no and why the hell would I say no to a bag to put her dress in and I didn’t even know bags were optional in this store so I stuck the dress in a bag from another store which further irritated me she didn’t try to deescalate the situation or provide any help she just asked like it bothered her having to do my transaction and when I said as I was preparing to leave is your name on this receipt and she said it’s Amanda while helping the next customer meanwhile she had already walked away from me to help the next customer this associate is bringing down the morale of the store it’s important to know how to deescalate the situation vs further escalating the situation and making it obvious you don’t care about making your customers feel valued and respected I felt completely dismissed and disrespectful I walked out the store on one end and came back through the other door to show the other associate my express cash email and I did get her name I wish I did because she was very helpful she asked if I had the app and showed me my account was associated with my name and email however I likely couldn’t use my express cash because they were a outlet store now that’s how you deescalate a situation and take time to help a customer she explained it to me and made me feel heard even if that wasn’t the truth I walked out the second time feeling valued and heard dang I wished I’d got her name so she could be recognized for her good customer service I walked out the store the second feeling valued and less frustrated
