  First question I asked was why am I just finding out about this place. Union City and surrounding areas best choice for true soul food lovers. One taste and you will know the food is cooked with the cleanest ingredients. If what you’re looking for is a home cooked meal made with love look no further. This is the spot. The hostess Ashley was the icing on the cake. I immediately felt welcomed and appreciated. She guided us through the menu even allowing us to sample dishes before making our choices. 5 stars all around!

  Okay, so I’m on my health journey… and I meant it. But listen… Exotic Eats nj menu? Yeah, they have healthy options jerk chicken Cesar wraps and all the good-for-you stuff. But then my inner foodie whispered: “Just one cheat meal won’t hurt…” And baby, I listened. 👂🏾👀 I had the fried salmon bites over rice, a side of collard greens, and the main character, the Holy Grail mac and cheese. Yes, I said Holy Grail, because let’s be real—not everyone can make mac and cheese that hits. But THEY DID THAT. Creamy, cheesy, crispy top — mmhmm, say less. 🙌🏾 Then I got bold and tried the jerk egg rolls. Who knew THAT combo would slap so hard! Spicy, crunchy, and just... wow. My tastebuds were dancing. And since I was already deep in the cheat day trenches, I said, “Why stop now?” So boom — I added cornbread and the banana pudding cheesecake. YES, BOTH. Don’t judge me. Judge your plate. 😂 Was I a big back today? Absolutely. Do I regret it? Not even a little.
This menu was crafted by a genius. A culinary mastermind. I would come back again… and again… and again. Just roll me in. 💅🏾 Exotic eats, you got me. I’ll be back — just maybe not on abs day. 😭

  Yanc the Owner Understands His Clients & Offers Supreme Customer Service. I stopped here with my coworker for lunch after seeing the Advertisement on Instagram. Support Local Black Businesses such as this one! This is a Gem! All of the food is A One. Their sauces, drinks, chicken, shrimp & side items are top tier. They allow you to sample their sides & Yanc the owner checked in on ALL his customers to make sure everything was OK. We ordered the Chicken Wings, Shrimp, Yams, Mac & Cheese. They were ALL delicious! Their sauces are delicious also; try their Cayman sauce it’ll change your life!

  My sisters and I ordered a variety of eats off the menu so we could share with each other. Everything we ate, fish, wings, shrimp, veggies and cornbread was seasoned well and cooked to perfection. The Purple Rain lemonade (ode to Prince, I think) was my favorite. The host/server was upbeat and attentive, matching our energy and the old school music videos that played on the wall mounted tv provided a good vibe. Great to have Exotic Eats as a food option to the area!

  In the mood for some soul food, here comes Exotic Eats in Union, NJ. The food was absolutely amazing. I ordered the 5pcs shrimp with Mac n cheese n broccoli. In additional; to jerk chicken taco. Jerk chicken taco was superb; very tasty and well seasoned. Shrimp and Mac cheese were good as well. But the jerk chicken taco stand out of them all. Big shout out to you guys for that. Definitely be back!!!!
