- GSGeorge SargentApr 13, 20255.0I give much thanks to Everest System's Jon Chase. Jon is the company Technical Sales Representative. I'm a DIY individual who is always out to save money where I can. My fiance lives in a Townhome close to Astrodome. Her home was built at about the same time as the Astrodome. Her flat roof is showing it's age. Minor repairs have been made but leaks kept happening. She, like many, have gotten quotes to completely recoat or to replace it all together. Numbers ranged from close to $15 k up to over $26k. I started talking to Jon and evaluating the task ahead. He helped me with my desicion making and talking with me about the various details needed to do a good job. Jon and I discussed what it would take to get the equivalent of a 10 year an 20 plus year roof lifespan. Many pictures were shared and discussions continued. Finally, January came and my fiance and I started the job of recoating the roof. We worked anywhere from 4-6 hours a day on weekends. Weather and rain created some delays and more than several weekends were missing. Finally the job was completed before the end of March. I'm VERY satisfied we resolved all our leaking problems plus extended or roof life better than 20 years. It was a lot of work. Our total material cost was less than $4000. I'm very pleased with our work, pleased with the material from Everest Systems and most pleased with Jon Chase!
