  Received prompt and expert electrical repair service from these guys. Especially appreciated Dane Feldman, the technician, who went out of his way to accommodate the urgency of our situation. He did a very impressive job diagnosing and repairing a fault between solar and house power. I highly recommend him and will certainly use Erkies for any future needs.

  About four years ago I had outdoor lighting installed and some other electrical stuff done. Price: About $4,000. I was happy. About a year later, a neighbor ran over one of the driveway lights. Erkies promptly sent out a repairman and he replaced the light. About three minutes of work. Price: $350.00 A rip off. Six days ago I noticed one of the coach lamps was flickering. I checked it out and saw the LED panel was faulty. Erkies sent out two guys who spent about 30 minutes 'analyzing' the issue and charged me $267.00 to tell me what I already knew. The fixture needs to be replaced. The older one who did all the talking (slurring) said they would be back tomorrow with a replacement fixture, or two new fixtures if they couldn't find a match. Six days later I'm still waiting. Overpriced. Undependable and sloppy. Tomorrow I'm calling someone else. I will never bother the staff at Erkies again. I only hope they start hiring people with a little more integrity than the goons they sent to my place. Update. Response to your response. Yes it is an Erkies installed fixture. That's why I called you to check it.

  These people are disgustingly dishonest. I contacted them after my AC stopped blowing cold air. Last time it did this was a minor thing and it cost me under a $100 which was covered under that company's regular maintenance. I figured, since my unit is only 4 years old it may need maintenance again, so I contacted Erkies. Being a local company I figured they wouldn't charge me too much for sending anyone out. The tech dispatched, Efren told me my contactor and capacitor were bad. He estimated the repair cost ranged from $700-$800. I asked if that would also cover the maintenance fee of $89 and he said no. I asked him if he had done maintenance to the unit and he told me it couldn't be done because the repair issues and maybe other other issues needed to be fixed first. I found that along with the price fishy. I had already replaced a capacitor for $250 at my parents house last summer and the guy only charged me another $50 for gas. I went on YouTube to see how a capacitor is replaced and it's plug and play. Same goes for the contactor. I told Efren that I wasn't ready to pay almost a thousand bucks on repairs and that I should get a couple of quotes before making a decision. He did not like that, Efren became irate and tried to get me to accept the repairs by saying he was already there and that the unit was open. I told him no and that I would pay his dispatch fee. When I asked how much it was, he didn't give me an answer. 10 minutes later my wife calls me in a distraught voice saying the guy is asking for $89. I tried to talk to her about what was going on and she said Efren said he wouldn't leave until she settled the charges. That made me laugh, but I could tell my wife felt apprehensive and when I got home she described Efren as aggressive. By then I had already spoken to their AI customer service and it told me someone from their office would call me. After hearing my wife sound uncomfortable I made the effort to contact the office myself to see how much the dispatch fee really was and to advice their tech to leave my property. The guy who answered the phone was a pretty good salesman. He probably would've closed a lot of people. He was even magically able to discount $100 from the original estimate. After 12 minutes and 36 seconds of dodging every sales technique in the book he finally took my credit card and I paid a dispatch fee of $89. I called another company, told them that supposedly the capacitor and the contactor were bad. The guy gets in the roof, 10 mins later he tells me those parts could be replaced, but that they still function. He diagnosed the motherboard being bad and charged me $300. DO NOT trust anything these people tell you. Everyone knows how bad the economy is and pushing people to pay way over 100% of the actual cost for repairs is beyond their ability to operate in a free market, it is highway robbery.
