Enger Park Golf Course, just south of downtown set atop a high bluff, Enger Park treats golfers to enjoyable experiences and breathtaking views of Duluth Harbor. Built in 1927 near the historic Enger Park Tower, the 27-hole course features three, distinct parkland-, links- and traditional-style layouts. Ranging from 3,168 to 3,359 yards, the par-36, “Front 9,” “Middle 9” and “Back 9” presents golfers with distinct experiences as several holes run through densely wooded areas while others navigate around scenic ponds and strategic bunkers. Four sets of tees ensure fun but fair tests for all handicappers.
I drove up from the Twin Cities this past weekend to play Enger Park Golf Course and was pleasantly surprised by the shape it was in. From what I understand, they recently installed a new irrigation system, so the course is still recovering a bit, but overall it was in great condition. The greens rolled true and were fantastic.
When I first arrived at the range, I met Sam, who was working on the ball machine. He was extremely friendly, and we had a great conversation. I later learned he’s the Assistant Manager, and he even came out during my round to check in and see how things were going. That kind of hospitality is rare in the big cities and honestly made the experience stand out, it gave the whole visit a welcoming, small-town feel that would make me come back again.
The course itself has tons of character with stunning views of Lake Superior and the St. Louis River. Overall, Enger Park is a gem, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable round in Duluth.

We were apprehensive about golfing Enger course. The course was in desperate need of TLC the last couple years, so we were mostly playing Nemadji. We were glad we gave Enger another try! The conditions were excellent! We had a great 9 hole game. The course still needs work on the cart paths ( in the works I was told) and the clubhouse is in need of updating. Otherwise a 10/10.

Beware!!!
They inspect the cart with a fine tooth comb after the round without ANY mention to pre-inspect your cart before starting your round.

The layout and the vistas are top notch as always and the playing conditions have improved markedly since the renovations.

$50 for nine holes on a Sunday night is a little ridiculous Especially when the driving range is closed early on Sundays, so can’t even warm up. Otherwise, the course is pretty good I would rate higher if it had better prices
