  I travel to UCSF every three weeks and stay at the Edwardian, which I prefer after trying several hotels. I've stayed in three different rooms there; each offers good value with clean, renovated, and comfortable spaces. The beds are cozy, towels plush, and TVs connect to streaming services, perfect for relaxing. I request rooms at the back to avoid Market Street’s hustle. It’s also near Hayes Valley, with many restaurants and shops. It exceeds my expectations of what is classified as a 2-star hotel.

  I really loved the new rooms: they’re comfortable, nicely decorated, and give a fresh feeling. The whole hotel is welcoming and well kept, you feel good as soon as you arrive :)

  I was pleasantly surprised by how clean, well maintained, and friendly everyone was. This is definitely worth the money we paid for it - it was a really good stay for us overall. We got a room with two beds and the bathroom/ shower were just outside the room. The shower was HUGE and we had a lot of space and both spaces were maintained super clean. Would recommend! PS, if there’s anyway to add more plugs in a room or add extension chords to reach the beds, that would make this room even better.

  The Bathroom is not in your room Also the shower is not in your room all separate you need a key to shower 🚿 you need a different key to use the restroom not convenient you never know if someone is in them😁

  The room just felt really grimy. The sheets and towels felt really harsh and scratchy. I by no means have sensitive skin, but after 2 nights, my skin and face got really red and irritated. And apparently this place considers heat a luxury feature not a basic necessity because it was not working at all and the nights got really cold.
