I’ve had the misfortune of experiencing behind the scenes at the 208 Matthew’s Dr. Dunkin' Donuts, and I feel compelled to share my experience in hopes of shedding light on what truly goes on behind the scenes. The two managers at this location (Abby, and Bre) to be specific have created an extremely toxic and emotionally abusive environment that has left many employees, feeling broken and worthless. They only show some respect to their siblings who work at the same location, which just doesn’t sit right with me.
The way they treat staff is absolutely unacceptable. They constantly belittle, yell, and humiliate employees in front of customers, which has led to multiple people walking out in tears or quitting due to the emotional toll. These managers seem to get some sick satisfaction from making others feel inferior. It’s not just a rough day at work; it’s an ongoing cycle of degradation.
I know for a fact that several complaints have been sent in, both by staff and customers, about their behavior, but nothing ever changes. It seems like the higher-ups either don't care or are completely oblivious to the psychological damage being done by these two individuals. The result? Several employees have left with trauma, feeling like they're not worth being a person or even worthy of holding a job. The toll this has taken on the mental health of employees is heartbreaking, and yet nothing is done about it.
It’s truly a shame that a company like Dunkin’ Donuts is willing to allow these toxic individuals to continue to abuse their staff. Until something is done to address this behavior, I/we cannot, in good conscience, recommend this place to anyone, whether you're looking to work here or even just get your morning coffee. It’s not worth the emotional cost.
