I started to think it was my fault...I remember working in F&B and hating guests walking in 5 minutes before closing...but then I realized i walked out with my ill prepared order at 8:27, meaning i came in more than a half hour before closing (and they locked the doors behind me). If it had been 5min until close, the thought of stopping wouldnt have entered my mind, but some people's 8pm is another's 8am. It's absurd that I couldn't get a simple cup of coffee from a coffee joint, regardless of proximity to closing. I asked for a medium hot coffee with cream and sugar and received a barely room temp coffee with cream, to their credit, but not even a hint of sugar.
After seeing this location's rating and reading the reviews i can see this had nothing to do with my timing, this is simply a terrible location.
If you peruse the reviews, you'll see none of the complaints are the rambling rants of explosive tempers. The complaints are all specific and share common threads.
The one that stands out the most is the complaint about witnessing the manager mistreating the employees in front of guests in the middle of service. This store didn't screw me out of time and money because some lazy kids don't want to work the hours they've been instructed to work, but rather because they've been explicitly taught that their role, their value, (as is the case in so many other fast food chains) is to serve as a cog in someone else's wealth generator.
And now realizing that that was all available from just reading the reviews, which I failed to do, I guess it is my own fault, so, to be fair....one star for me.
But still, avoid this location.
