This location is the closest to my house, so I’ve given it multiple chances over the past several months. Unfortunately, the service continues to be inconsistent and frustrating.
When this location first opened, I experienced several order mistakes - missing whipped cream on drinks that clearly include it, forgotten caramel on items that require it, etc. I initially chalked this up to being a new location with staff still learning the ropes.
However, after being open for quite some time, these issues persist. To avoid problems, I typically order ahead through the app, which usually works better.
Today I decided to order in person on a whim, and it was extremely frustrating. There was a communication barrier at the drive-thru, and despite me clearly stating the exact menu item name - the Tropical Guava Refresher with oat milk - two incorrect items were entered before I could correct it.
When I reached the window to clarify my order, the manager was condescending rather than helpful. She insisted I had ordered a “spritz” when I specifically wanted the oat milk version, and suggested I should have asked for “the Sabrina one” (which is actually the strawberry version, not guava). Even after all the back-and-forth, they still got my order wrong and gave me a Mango Pineapple Refresher instead of the Guava one I had clearly requested multiple times.
The most frustrating part was the manager’s response - instead of acknowledging the mistake and working to fix it, she blamed me for the miscommunication and was condescending throughout the interaction. When mistakes happen, professional management should focus on resolving the issue, not making the customer feel like it’s their fault. I left without the correct order after wasting significant time.
While I understand communication challenges can happen in any service environment, the unprofessional response from management made the situation much worse than it needed to be. Additionally, all employees should have basic knowledge of the menu items they’re taking orders for - this would help prevent confusion regardless of any communication barriers. Taking responsibility for mistakes and working to fix them should be standard customer service practice.
Would not recommend this location - the inconsistent service and poor management response make it unreliable for quick service.
