About

KennelPet Groomer
The Dude Ranch Pet Resort is owned and operated by BlackNose Pet Resorts, Inc. You may recognize the name BlackNose from the dog world, as the BlackNose group has been involved in purebred dog sports, pet products and services for over 10 years. The Dude Ranch Pet Resort was conceived as a true next-generation facility. More than 5 years were spent traveling, visiting and studying other kennels, other performance facilities, other day-care offerings, dog parks, groomers, vets and more. We collected over 200 pages of research along with 100s of photos. We then sat down with designers, engineers, and most importantly, fellow dog owners, breeders and families to create the ideal "Pet Resort" — a facility that has all of the capabilities for events, classes, training, luxury boarding, short-term and long-term stays, spa and products in a luxury and SAFE environment. I wouldn't even give them one star. They are known to over charge people and they tried to do it to me. The living conditions are nasty and smelly.

If I can post with no stars I would. NEVER EVER TAKE YOUR DOG HERE!!! I trusted this place to care for my baby, because he is my baby! I left him to you to make sure he is safe. Last weekend, I dropped off my small Maltese for a weekend, to be with my family & honor my mothers 1 year memorial service. To return home immediately after getting a devastating phone call from a worker, not a manager or owner, telling me my dog is "ok," but being rushed to the hospital because another dog attacked him, & has multiple bite injuries. (Really, that makes him "ok"?) I was flowed. I was so upset that day already because of my mothers memorial service, to make me more upset to get this phone call. That same day, I left my family, dropped everything, canceled my other plans for the weekend, to get back in my car with my husband to drove home 300 miles, to get to the hospital to see my dog at the hospital. Which we were driving at night, in the rain on I95, in the middle of the night, to arrive there at 2am. that was creating more stress for me. When we did get there, We couldn't believe what we saw. I'm surprised to see he didn't pass away from his injuries, that where he was bitten he could have. (Chest, stomach, neck, ribs). He was all stitched up, and on draining tubes etc. My heart was broken. somehow this lab/mix apparently got lose, jumped a fence or door (that I was told may need adjusting, really? After the fact), & do I really know how this happened? Maybe it's a different story. Who knows. They can say what they want, no video cameras either. That dog ripped my dog up good. I've waited 4 days to get a phone call from the owner to at least apologize, and didn't. So I called them, and got ("I'm sorry we didn't call you") but we were attending to your dog, & our manager stayed with him at hospital etc. that was a few hours attending to my dog. What happened to calling me after you did that? Give me a break!! Since your place and workers caused this to happen, that is your responsibility to do what you did. So I'm not impressed by that! really unprofessional on there part for not reaching out to me. Shows they don't take good care of there pets, nor give a crap about the owners either. I'm devastated still to this day to see my dog in pain and all stitched up several parts of his body. In such trauma. Not only is he suffering, so am I. I am up most of the night, checking him, giving antibiotics etc. it's affected my job, & life style because of there negligence, stupidity and not being responsible. (Hence, I'm writing this at 3am). I wish I can post the pictures too. He had surgery right away, was in hospital for 5 days, and it's going to take at least a month, maybe more for him to recover. He has to wear a cone now for at least 2 weeks so he doesn't lick his stitches, & be uncomfortable. How does a place like this let these things happen? You would think where the incident happened also they would put video cameras around. (They didn't catch this on video surprisingly). Now even tho this isn't my fault, I blame myself for taking my dog to this hell hole of an operation. The workers involved couldn't get away from this? They couldn't pick up my dog when they saw the other dog running after them, and run for cover? He was on a leash with a worker apparently, and I guess they wanted to see the attack happen like if it were a show maybe. NEVER EVER TRUST THIS PLACE!! Besides the fact when I finally got Ed on the phone a manger or part owner whatever, he was speaking like a robot and speaking to me like I was an idiot. & wasn't very sympathetic either. He didnt even apologize until I mentioned no one called me. (Then he apologized. Really?) I can go on and on here. But the more I think about what happened, the more upset I get. So bottom line, DONT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT INCOMPETENT WORKERS AND YOUR DOG ATTACKED!! Prayers my Bailey gets well soon! Ugh Dude Ranch.
