DSW opened its first store in July 1991 in Dublin, Ohio, and has since grown to operate more than 400 stores across the United States and Puerto Rico, as well as nearly 400 leased departments for other retailers under the Affiliated Business Group.
The DSW brand promise is “Designer shoes. Warehouse prices.” and the company delivers an experience of “breathtaking assortment, irresistible value, and simple convenience.” DSW stores average approximately 22,000 square feet and stock nearly 25,000 pairs of shoes per location.
I attempted to purchase some shoes here today. At the counter I was asked no less than six times to provide an email address and/or phone number. I politely refused each time but when they wouldn’t take no for an answer I left without making the purchase I had intended to make. If collecting contact information is more important than exchanging money for shoes, I don’t see the point in coming here when I can just make a similar purchase online. It’s hard to feel bad for brick and mortar stores being pushed out of the retail market in favor of online shopping when this is how they operate nowadays.

After spending 400$ here for shoes for my entire family, there was a pair for me that gave me bruises and I used it only for a day and decided to return it. They wouldn't take it saying it has too much wear. What's the point of keeping shoes that give you cuts? Will be taking my family shoe shopping to more reasonable shops.

Great selection. Service leaves a bit to be desired but that’s why the prices are so good. Lovely folks at the register. Recommend purchasing from here if you know what you’re looking for, otherwise it’s daunting.
