Do not shop at this DSW location. I’m an educator purchasing shoes for my child for back to school and found a Nike tennis shoe that matched my child’s uniform. However, the shoe was dirty on the inside and the back of the heel of the shoe . Also, there was grass and mud underneath of one of the shoes when I went to the register to receive its match. The cashier Aaliyah agreed and apologized for the state of the tennis and told me she needed a managers approval to accommodate me . The manager Marcia told me to wipe it off and to even buy the shoe or keep it moving because she doesn’t have the time ! Instructing the cashier to take the next customer . As an educator I work too hard for my money to spend it in an unprofessional and hostile establishment. Professionalism needs to be taught to members of management here at this location . I will not be supporting this company!

Been shopping here for years. Unfortunately one customer needed a book bag and
No associate opted to help forcing us to wait in line for over 20 minutes. When I went to ask a floor associate (black woman with a mustache and a bun) she snapped at me and told me that we would just have to wait. Also the store is filthy. Matched the associates attitude
Way better experiences at other locations

I’ve been shopping at the Owings Mills DSW over the years, and I’ve always appreciated their clearance section with tiered discounts—20%, 30%, 40%, even 50% off depending on the tag color. But during their recent “big sale,” I was shocked to find that everything in clearance was marked at just 25% off. No more graduated discounts. In fact, I saw shoes today that were 30% off last week—now they’re less discounted during a major promotion. How does that make sense?
When I asked a staff member about it, he shrugged and said, “It’s 25% off,” and claimed he didn’t know anything about the previous system. No explanation, no effort to help—just dismissive.
It’s frustrating to be treated like you’re clueless when you’ve shopped here regularly. If DSW is going to advertise a major sale, it should actually offer better deals—not worse ones. And staff should be trained to engage respectfully and informatively with customers.
