DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse) Inc. is a leading branded footwear and accessories retailer that offers a huge selection of brand name and designer footwear and accessories for women, men, and kids. DSW opened its first store in July 1991 in Dublin, Ohio, and has since grown to operate more than 400 stores across the United States, as well small format shop-in-shop locations.
The DSW brand promise is “Designer shoes. Warehouse prices.” and the company delivers an experience of “breathtaking assortment, irresistible value, and simple convenience.” DSW stores average approximately 22,000 square feet and stock nearly 25,000 pairs of shoes per location.
Terrible customer service during the return process. The staff was loud and focused on stating policies without listening or allowing a chance to speak. It was the end of the day, and I didn’t have the energy to ask for a manager or argue, so I simply left. There are plenty of other shoe stores besides DSW for me and my family to shop at. This store seriously needs to improve employee training on customer service.

A cashier named A***l was not helpful when I tried to purchase my shoes. She also had an attitude, which made the experience unpleasant. In contrast, another lady was very kind; she answered my questions and helped us find the shoes we were looking for.
I understand that your store requires a box to complete a purchase, but it’s clear that different staff provide different levels of service. In my opinion, the cashier should not show attitude to customers, but instead take the time to explain the store policies to us. We are not your employees; you can’t expect us to automatically know your rules. She definitely needs more training in customer service.
