  I usually have a great experience at dsw. Great selections and a clean environment with awesome customer service. However, today was not that day. I received coupons for my patronage in the mail for a few dollars off of different totals ( $20 off purchase over 100 etc.) as well as a free bag on a purchase over $89. I reached the counter , handed over my items totaling 170, and handed the cashier my coupons. She took both coupons and told me there were no more free bags but her coworker grabbed one from right behind her and said “ yes they are, right here” After paying I noticed the $20 dollars was not taking off. When I inquired she seemed annoyed, picked up the coupon and advised me it was not valid until October 1st. I said that’s fine but why would you keep my coupon if it wasn’t valid yet. Ultimately I got the feeling she wanted to keep the coupon for herself and did not want to give me the free bag for purchases over $89. Hope things improve as I will not support business that have shady practices or untrustworthy employees.

  Walked into DSW in the Galleria Mall in Middletown NY looking for a pair of Clarkes. Stopped a short, wig wearing African person and asked where the bedroom/ house shoes were. Without taking her hands off her cart, and taking her eyes off the device she was using, she decided not to look up at me, she pointed and said “in the back on the wall”. Ok, rude. She wasn’t helping anyone that was evident or to be seen but ok, maybe today is just not her day. I walked to the back and saw the bedroom shoes on the wall. Still didn’t see what I was looking for. A pale face, greasy haired woman was approaching me so I decided to ask her. As she approached I began speaking so I could ask about my shoes and she walked right past me without saying a word. When she heard me say “okaaaayyy” she then said, without looking at me “ I’ll be back. I’m helping someone else” and she kept going. She radioed someone and I was left there standing in the boot section. The short, wig wearing person approached me again and I guess she was coming to help. But she just looked at me like I was ruining her day of fingering her device. So I decided not to accept any help and I walked out. I’ve already unsubscribed for any emails and stopped all text. I’ll shop where I’m welcomed and appreciated.

  Staff is rude unhelpful and lazy. They could not answer basic questions and refused to clean up this mess of a store.

  I called because I'm coming up for my father's funeral. I called noon on a Sunday. Some rude, snotty woman answered the phone like she's doing me a favor. Very rude tone. I'm 53 shop all over the world. Mam if you don't like people don't work in Retail. I worked 30 years in Retail. Go home and improve your attitude.
