The truth is, you don’t become a Louisiana favorite just by putting the word “authentic” on your sign. When you’ve served Cajun meals as long as we have, you learn the difference between real food and a bland imitation, and our guests know it too.
Grilled, fried or on ice–there’s time cooked into every dish and time spent on every home cooked recipe, so that every aroma, every bite, every sip and every gathering is memorable.
We’ve spent more than 80 years creating a recipe for something much greater than a place for a lunch break or night out. It’s a place to share (or keep the whole plate to yourself), a place where you always have a seat ready at the table and a place where you’re always part of the family.

Don's is always our first stop, we most always get a combination plate but we always want something not exactly on the menu. I get crawfish tails and shrimp and my husband gets alligator and shrimp. They always say no problem and we get exactly what we want. Our server today was Melina and she was awesome, our food came out fresh and hot and the hush puppies were extra good today. We always feel special when we dine with y'all, we may be back Sunday for brunch.

Jade, my waitress was absolutely great, perfect service, great attitude and personality. I ordered the catfish and shrimp platter (small), and the hush puppies. Hush puppies were fantastic, tarter sauce was the best I've had in a very long time. Catfish was was crispy and delicious, shrimp were perfect as well. Don's will definitely be on my repeat restaurant list. Thank you for the wonderful food and experience. love stopping by Don’s Seafood whenever I get the chance! - RNRick NevesOct 4, 20255.0While passing through south Louisiana, we stopped in Lafayette for two nights. We wanted to try the local establishments, so we decided on Don’s. It was very good. We made a reservation for a 6pm on a Tuesday night in late September, and that probably wasn’t necessary. But the place filled up in the 6-7pm hour. The food was very good and our waiter was very attentive. I thought the value was very good. $80 for two of us with dinner and one alcoholic drink each. I recommend you try it if you are in the area.
