The truth is, you don’t become a Louisiana favorite just by putting the word “authentic” on your sign. When you’ve served Cajun meals as long as we have, you learn the difference between real food and a bland imitation, and our guests know it too. Grilled, fried or on ice–there’s time cooked into every dish and time spent on every home cooked recipe, so that every aroma, every bite, every sip and every gathering is memorable. We’ve spent more than 80 years creating a recipe for something much greater than a place for a lunch break or night out. It’s a place to share (or keep the whole plate to yourself), a place where you always have a seat ready at the table and a place where you’re always part of the family.

Well if you’ve haven’t had your taste of Louisiana, this is where you need to go. ⚜️ And I’ll tell y’all, the servers are just lovely. They have that southern twang that just adds to the lovely atmosphere. Shoutout to my sweet waitress Sara and that lovely young man Chris that bussed my table. That 1/2 and 1/2 combo with the crawfish bisque and half a poboy is just heavenly I almost got myself some seconds. Oh, and don’t even get me started on that “jacked up” bread for an appetizer. Great food + great people = Dons 🦞

First time going. Fast service. Everything was amazing that we ordered. My only issue was the manager bringing out orders with her long hair flying around very close to the food.

I don’t usually write reviews, but after two weeks I’m still thinking about this experience and feel it’s worth sharing. My family of 14 came here to celebrate my birthday, which is rare since we don’t often get everyone together. Unfortunately, what should have been a special evening turned out very disappointing. The service was just okay, but the food was the real issue. Several people at our table hardly touched their meals, myself included. The fish was prepared with belly meat, which gave the entire dish an unpleasant taste. As the birthday guest, I ended up only eating a side salad. On top of that, a hot plate was passed across the table and burned one of my family members’ fingers badly enough that he had to put them in ice water for relief. It was disheartening to see my dad pay nearly $200 for a dinner that most of us didn’t want to finish or even take home. Overall, the experience fell far short of what we expected for such an important occasion. Save the trip & go to Rudy’s!
