We aren't seasoned travelers and we were concerned we wouldn't be comfortable staying away from home. My husband has been dealing with back pain all summer and has difficulty with steps right now. Our cottage was ground level, the parking space was just outside our door and all one level inside. It made our trip very enjoyable for both of us. Check in and out was simple. Excellent communication from the front desk as to when our room was ready (early).
