The food is very comforting and filling and gives me a positive sense of home! It's amazing to finally see some Uyghur restaurants in the area. Would come again!😋

One of my fave restaurants in DC! Beautifully decorated, always immaculate, and the food is delicious. I often come for dinner with friends after services or a concert across the street, and today I hung out with my laptop sipping on a pot of Dolan Chai.
Dolan Uyghur Restaurant is a real hidden gem with bold, comforting Central Asian flavors. The space is warm and inviting with colorful décor that feels authentic. Hand-pulled laghman noodles are a must — chewy and perfectly seasoned — and the kebabs are juicy and packed with spices. Portions are generous, and everything tastes freshly made.
The staff are welcoming and happy to explain the menu if you’re trying Uyghur food for the first time. With its cozy atmosphere, unique dishes, and vibrant flavors, Dolan Uyghur Restaurant is a fantastic spot for anyone looking to try something different and delicious in D.C.
Where to begin……a top dining experience of my year. I can’t remember enjoying a meal out this much recently; everything tasted so good, the portions and execution felt welcoming, the space is charming. Ordered the kawa samsa, lentil soup, rice noodles, spicy tofu, sigara boregi, rice pudding, and tea….all vegetarian and delicious (and to think I was skeptical lol). Can’t wait to be back and try the cafe service. the value was great and you could eat a good meal here at various price points.
The restaurant has a great atmosphere, friendly staff, and attentive service. We ordered the pilaf and the Mongolian beef, dishes we’re very familiar with, and while they were presented nicely, the flavors weren’t quite what we expected. Both could have used just a little more seasoning to bring out their full taste. That being said, we still enjoyed our experience and would be willing to come back and try other dishes on the menu.
