  Dog Training Camp USA was the perfect training program for our dog Buddy, a six month old shepherd mix. We tried positive reinforcement only training for several months but it just wasn’t working for his goofy, distracted and excitable personality, he really needed something more structured. Buddy did the three week camp and Cory, Melaney, Caitlin and their team set us up for success at home, with a focus on basic commands like sit and stay, the place command, walking in a heel, threshold / door manners, appropriate play and self control! There’s a huge difference in Buddy’s ability to concentrate and focus, and he is able to settle down quickly when new people or dogs visit. Most importantly, we were much more comfortable introducing him to two new family members 👶🏼. We received frequent pictures and report cards, and though it was SO HARD to be away from our sweet guy for a few weeks, it was absolutely worth the investment and Buddy will have these skills for life (so will we, lol!!). He was very happy and well taken care of there, and bonded with so many of the trainers and team members. We highly recommend Dog Training Camp USA and look forward to going back for boarding, day camp and group training. Thank you all so much!! 🐶❤️

  I have a reactive German Shepherd and I live in an apartment complex. It's been a nightmare ever since she was a puppy and started having reactivity. I looked for professional help and I had two experiences that didn't work at all, untill I found the Dog Training Camp. My dog spent three weeks with them. She learned a lot and got a lot better. But I still needed to be trained too, so I could know what to do when I was walking her. That's when the group classes changed the whole game! Now I feel safe and confident to walk my dog, because she knows the commands and I know how to handle her. I can say that these amazing group of women changed my life, because now I can enjoy my time with my dog in our walks.

  These ladies are great! They know their stuff and are great at helping educate us! We loved getting updates on our pup while she was at camp! And are looking forward to her getting a refresher when we leave town next!

  We picked up our 9 month old Australian Labradoodle one week ago from camp and we are so happy with the results! We had tried to train Mayer ourselves, but Mayer ended up training us instead :/ She's too smart for her own good, and though she knows commands and knows what behaviors we were seeking most of the time, she had gotten in the bad habit of choosing when to listen and when not to. Camp was a great reset for us! The attention-based training was perfect for Mayer's personality; she is not food motivated, so training with treats never got us the results we were hoping for. Now, we have taken the "attention as a reward" tactics home with us, and we have seen a great improvement in her listening and her overall demeanor. Mayer has also come home with MUCH better walking skills - before she was pulling like crazy. She also learned structured play - and we learned how to engage in play in a way where we remained in control. Overall, I feel that we have learned more about our dog's unique personality and motivations, which has really improved our ability to train her. Thank you Cory, Melaney, and the whole team! As someone who researched diligently and called several places around Louisville, I highly recommend Dog Training Camp and to reach out to the team for yourself to learn more about their unique process!
