  Several months ago, our rescue dog, Lily, joined our family. We knew she needed some structure and we needed help with her manners and listening to us. Thankfully, our friend referred us to Dog Lover's Obedience School! Lily completed beginner and intermediate classes with flying colors. She loves all the trainers, especially her favorite, Jess Cagnina! She is a sweet, funny, very food motivated girl and very smart and Jess "got her" right away. Recently Lily completed a 1-week board and train with Jess and she has come home to us like a "new and improved" dog! (Jess sent videos, photos and texts daily of Lily's progress and the "why" of some of the things she was working on with her.) She also sent a small printed packet for us to refer to now that she's home. We are so pleased with the work Jess did and we are following OUR instructions, too, now that we have Lily home. (She--and we--are doing beautifully)

  I came to DLOS in January with my 13 week old puppy Lucy for a new client orientation. We started group puppy classes the following weekend, moved to beginner in March, and just graduated intermediate at the end of June! Lucy started going to half days once a week in mid February which made all the difference. She would come home a completely different puppy having mastered yet another skill. Every week she would sit by the door (not so patiently) waiting to go to school and see her favorite people. She even spent a week with Emily in April while I had a business trip doing a board and train. I can’t tell you how much relief I felt leaving her for the first time knowing she was in the best care. DLOS has easily been the best investment I could have made for Lucy. People would always compliment us on how beautiful she is (and they still do), but now they compliment us on how well behaved she is. I recommend Dog Lovers to everyone I know!

  Over the years we have taken all 3 of our labs to Dog Lovers Obedience School and our whole family has learned how to train and live peacefully with our dogs. Emily and her crew have such patience with us owners as she shares why dogs behave the way they do and then teaches how to control your dog. And there is no judging - she calmly explains why my way isn’t working and tells me what to do instead. Then after your dog has completed class and you are living life with your dog, Emily is still there to help you through any rough spots you experience. Sometimes that means a phone call or an email, or she might come to your home to work with you. There are also whole and half day training sessions if your dog needs a refresher session. Dog Lovers offers training from the puppy stage all the way through your dog’s life with support and help along the way.
