This mall is an absolute dumpster fire. My mother’s day out group goes here at least once a week since late August 2025 to walk and let our children play in the children’s area. Since late August, the main elevator has been broken, forcing us and anyone else with mobility issues to use big chain stores like JCP, Dillards, and Macy’s elevators which are quite small as they are meant for employees to get between their levels, not the general public to take bc the public elevator is broken with no repair in sight. The restrooms are always filthy and stink of poo. Today a security officer was sent down to the play area to talk with each and every parent bc a business had complained about noise. Mind you, this is a public space, offering a children’s play area. Children laugh loud, talk loud, and squeal, as children do while playing so why are we, as guests, being told to keep our children quiet??? It’s a MALL, there is noise constantly in there. I will be calling the corporate office that oversees this mall location bc that is just ridiculous. Children exist in public spaces, people with mobility issues deserve easy access to an elevator without having to hunt for the nearest big chain store elevator available. n

I remember this mall used to be a lot busier than what it is but it still serves a purpose. I went into find hats because I needed to replace the one I currently have. There is a lot of construction so I look forward to seeing what the new places are that are going to open. Again not quite as busy as it once was but still a great atmosphere

So me and my husband were excited to hear that our favorite store came back and thought we were going to have a good day today and take a look around in the Spirit of Halloween store in the deerbrook mall, in hopes of finding some cool Halloween items....but the complete opposite happened. For starters on the website it says that it was in the mall but didn't say where specifically, the last time that we were there a year ago it was on the top part of the mall, it took us about 20 minutes to finally find the store, and even then we couldn't get to the damn store since I'm convined to my wheelchair, and the main elevator in the mall was broken. So we spent all that time, frustration, gas all for nothing! And mind you we came from several towns away, didn't even get to set foot inside the store let alone purchase anything...talk about a let down! Seriously y'all need to fix that main elevator, because how are disabled people supposed to have a good time and shop, do we not matter??! And screw using that other public elevator, it looked like a place where people get kidnapped! What a professional mall y'all have?!
