On December 23, 2021, I purchased a wedding ring for $5,610 at the Las Vegas store. I loved the design so much that I later bought an $800 men’s wedding ring from the Costa Mesa store to replace my husband’s old $100 ring. Within less than a month, the men’s ring developed numerous scratches — perhaps because my husband does heavier household chores — but I didn’t complain since I was so fond of my own ring. I simply put his ring away.
At the end of 2024, I noticed that one of the diamonds on my own wedding ring had started to come loose. On March 6, 2025, I brought it to the store for repair. Their inspection revealed 9 diamonds out of shape, 3 worn, and 1 tarnished — completely unacceptable for a high-priced luxury ring. At first, they even refused to repair it for free and only reluctantly agreed after some discussion. It took them two months to return it to me, yet the diamond was still loose.
Then, in June, while out for a walk, I suddenly noticed that one diamond had fallen out. I clearly remember it was intact when I left the house. I even searched along the road but could not find it. I immediately put the ring away because I feared more diamonds would soon fall out.
I am extremely disappointed with both the quality and the service at David Yurman. A luxury ring at this price should not have such poor durability, subpar workmanship, and careless repair service.
