  My daughter has been shopping here for over a decade for her ballet needs. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, caring, and kind. We also love going to see the shop kitty!

  Excellent selection and service. It was worth the out-of-town drive. I was impressed with the personalized dance shoe fittings. I plan on shopping here again. Although they carry mostly Capezio brand which can be purchased online, the in-person selection, seeing the quality of goods, and customer service outweighs online shopping.

  I came here for my first pointe shoe fitting back in March and it was amazing! My fitter was ChiChi and I loved her she was professional, and listened to what I said was wrong and fixed it she looked at my feet first and then gave me a spacer and a toe pad had me try on a TON of shoes and made sure I had the correct fit she ended up fitting me in Bloch Hannah’s 6 xx. Everyone there was incredibly nice and they gave me a pin that said “officially en pointe” and it’s still on my comp team jacket today. I recommend this place for first pointe shoe fittings or just coming back for another pair❤️

  Dance Shoppe was my second stop after a disappointing experience elsewhere, and I’m so glad I found them! From the moment I called, their phone etiquette was outstanding—polite, professional, and genuinely helpful. When I arrived, I felt welcome and the young lady that helped me made the entire process easy and enjoyable, helping me find everything my daughter needed all in one stop. Great customer service like this is rare—thank you, Dance Shoppe! You definitely have a returning customer. 🙂

  There's a reason this store is crowded...this is the ONLY place anyone in KS or MO should be fitted for pointe shoes!!!! I'm so jealous that this store is up north because I drive 45 min. now because whether my kid needs pointe shoes or not, this is the only place I spend my dance dollars in! They have a beautiful selection of leotards and practice wear and the best dance shoe selection in MO or KS! Susan and her husband are lovely and knowledgeable and they have great sales!!! One time my daughters pointe shoes died right before an audition and Susan spent an HOUR rebuilding her shoes...literally ripping out the lining, replacing all the nails, and jet gluing so she could get through her audition, AND she didn't charge us a dime!. You can't put a price tag on people that truly care about their customers. My daughter now attends Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan (Susan's magic on her pointe shoes worked!) and when she needs something, I send Susan an e-mail and she ships directly to her, and always includes little "extras" like a care package, they make her feel so special!!! Gladstone is lucky to have you Dance Shoppe!!!
