  I have to say, as an Indian who has gone to many an indian restaurant, this place knocked it out of the park. I often find indian food to fall in the “good enough” category, but every dish ordered was flavourful and well-portioned. from the Chicken65 appetizer to the vegetable curry and everything in between, the dishes checked all the boxes. 10/10 would eat here again

  The best Indian food we’ve had in DC! We brought our young children and they loved the peshwari so much that the 5 year old asked if we could come here everyday. The service was excellent and the people friends as well. Strongly recommend!

  Most horribly tasting Indian food we’ve ever had in our life. This place is an insult to Indian cuisine. The food is bland and improperly cooked. Please stay away from it to save your time money and appetite.

  We had heard good things about Dakshin Indique and were not disappointed this evening! The interior is high-ceilinged, light-filled and lovely. Gentle background music was playing so we could easily talk. The service was friendly, attentive and efficient. Delicious fresh food - we especially loved the dosa we shared! Highly recommend!

  We had lunch at Dakshin Indique on 5th Oct 2025. It was kinda late when we reached around 3.45 PM and there was no one inside. This was really a bad sign but we still wanted to give it a go due to the previous reviews were good. As an Indian I badly wanted to eat Kerala fish fry which was not the menu but the restaurant owner Mr.D was so kinda enough to check with the chef and make me one. We had: 1. Kerala fish fry (red snapper) 2. Kerala fish curry (red spicy curry) 3.Gobi munchrian 4. Veg biryani 5. Chilli chicken dosa All of them were good but nothing beats Kerala fish curry and fry. Mr.D always kept his smile, kind and helpful. Btw you should try the desserts gulap jamun. A sweet is always good after a spicy food. Overall superb South Indian food and a decent atmosphere. ps: try their rupee beer seems new and decent
