I was looking for a great option to redo or cover old tile in my house at a reasonable price. I had put it off for so long that I wasn't sure I could afford it or even knew what my options were besides only tile. I saw lots of adds for luxury vinyl and didn't think much of it. I decided to go with a local company that carried it and this was the best option for me.
I had both my entry way and bathroom done with luxury vinyl. There were three tiers of vinyl as far as quality and pricing that I could chose from and went with the middle option, which was also a great price. The person who came in definitely knew what they were doing from the cut, laying down the vinyl, and letting me know about the process and answered any questions that I had.
Custom Floor Covering gave me an honest estimate from the start in regard to cost, color options, how it would be put down, and time it would take. I am really please with Custom Floor Covering. I absolutely love my flooring and the quality is amazing. I having vinyl flooring gave me a better option than going with the usual tile and mess that comes with it and up keep. I would highly recommend this company to my family and friends and will definitely consider them again for other rooms in my house. Kristie

We were lucky to find Scott at custom floor covering. A friend knew we had two flooring companies out for bids.
She showed me an ad for custom floor covering. We thought we might as well get a third bid. The ad also said furniture moving was included, at our age that was a big deal. Scott came out to our home, and we quickly became very comfortable with him. We were impressed by his knowledge of the carpet business and low-pressure approach. Not to mention, his price was far lower than the other companies. We were even more pleased by the crew of installers he sent out. They were friendly, hard working, great cleanup, and did an amazing job. We could not be happier. We have already referred them to our neighbors.
Frequently Asked Questions About Custom Floor Covering, Twin Cities
I want some new flooring - how do I get started, and what does the process look like?
First we’ll talk with you to answer a few questions (room size, existing floor, what products you’re interested in, etc.). Then, you tell us if you’d like to see some products at home, or if you’d like to visit one of our wholesale locations. From there, we’ll set an appointment to come measure, select the final product, write an estimate, secure payment, and schedule final installation. When that day arrives, we show up, install your product (we’ll even move your furniture for you) and answer any questions you may have. From there, you simply enjoy your newly installed floor!
What does “shop at home” mean, exactly?
It means you don’t have to leave the comfort of your own home to select the perfect flooring solution. We come to you and show you an array of products so you can see, first hand, how they’ll look and feel in your home.
However, we also have 2 wholesale locations within the metro area. If you’d rather visit one of those and talk solutions, we’ll set that up too!
How much will it cost?
That will depend upon square footage, as well as product type. However, we do provide final in-home estimates. Meaning, there are no hidden fees – you’ll know exactly what you’re investing before an inch of product is installed.
Do you offer eco-friendly flooring options?
Yes! We understand sustainability is important, and we offer products that not only suit your home, but suit the future of our planet as well.
Where are you located?
We serve the greater Twin Cities Metro and surrounding suburbs. Our main office is located in Forest Lake, MN. We also offer access to one of our 2 wholesale locations.

This makes it a hygienic choice for homes with allergy concerns or areas prone to humidity.
Does LVT Fade in Sunlit Areas Over Time?
Modern LVT products are designed with UV-resistant coatings that protect against fading and discoloration, making them a suitable choice for sunrooms or areas with large windows.
