I had purchased and installed battery cables on my 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins, and the quality is excellent. Heavy-gauge copper with clean crimps and sealed lugs eliminated voltage drop, and the truck now cranks faster and more reliably. A big improvement over stock cables—highly recommend.

Excellent source for cables. -> Definitely recommend. Options and special requests are no problem here, and prices are fair. New car, old car, project car. They will listen and ask the right questions to find best solution. In my case, the cable sizes (including ground) were adjusted for higher currents, and cable insulation rated for high temperature was used. Fit perfect, looks and works great

I've bought cables from these guys for every truck I own. Good quality and excellent service, they make it easy to find what you need. I run older trucks so battery cables are usually worn out and corroded. Don't see what you're looking for they will custom make whatever you need!

I recently installed a customized kit of battery cables for my truck. If I had to summarize my purchase in a few words, I would say that it was money well spent. I was skeptical at first that the cables I ordered would either be too long or too short, but everything was perfect. For just over $108, I found a solution to my truck's old and failing electrical ignition system that I will never have to worry about for a long time to come. Afterall, the original cables on the truck that came from the factory lasted 30 years, and these new cables are more robust and very high quality. I'll probably never have to worry about changing or even splicing these cables for the rest of my life. I would highly recommend Custom Battery Cables to anyone who's looking for some well built and high quality battery cables.

Frequently Asked Questions About Custom Battery Cables LLC

What customization options are available?

You can fully tailor your cables—from wire gauge (AWG), length, insulation type, and stranding, to connector style (ring lugs, clamps, Anderson connectors), terminal type (top-post, side-post, marine), and even color-coding for easy identification. High-quality materials (like copper/SPC or SGT/SGX cable with heat-shrink and PVC/XLPE insulation) ensure durability and performance.

How do I choose the right wire gauge and length?

Selecting the correct wire gauge depends on the current load (e.g., engine starter vs. accessory). Thicker cables (e.g., 2 AWG–4/0 AWG) are used for high-current applications like large engines or battery banks, while thinner gauges (8–6 AWG) suit low-power needs . Length is customized to your setup—measure the exact distance you need and order precisely to avoid excess slack or voltage drop.
