We decided to try this kennel to board our dog for a weekend that we were out of town. We are familiar with boarding our dog and have done so on trips that we have been unable to take her on, but often try new kennels to find the best fit. After reading through reviews both good and bad, we hesitantly scheduled the booking. I had my reservations due to the negative reviews seeming to be quite bad, however we decided to give it a try since every place is going to have their fair share of bad reviews. When dropping her off, the smell of urine overwhelms you as you walk in. I found it funny as they had actually been advertising some sort of odor reliever in their office with a sign that read, “Smell that?”, clearly this product doesn’t work. Not to mention the chain link kennels and unkept fenced yard. We checked in while being glared at by a woman in the corner of the office and seemingly completed the check in process without having any of our dogs’ records taken into the system. When we brought this up, they seemed surprised as if they’d already had them on file, which they couldn’t as it had been our first visit. We let it go as we did come in just a few minutes before they closed. I didn’t feel good about leaving her there but chalked it up to being an anxious dog mom. Picking her up, the smell was definitely still there, but our puppy seemed to be happy and excited to see us, which was a good sign. The employee had told us that our dog had dumped her water in her kennel and that they washed her blanket but did not have time to dry it so it would be damp. Weird, but okay, I’m glad they washed it. We came home and our girl was very tired and took a nice long nap, seemingly happy to be home. We had not gotten around to unpacking her bag until today in which I noticed that all of her items in the bag reek of urine. And not only the smell, but a LARGE FLEA jumped out of the bag onto me. Upon a further look I had also noticed a brownish liquid coming off of the cooling mat that we had sent with her to keep her cool. Disgusted. They had also mentioned when we picked her up that she had not eaten much food but had picked treats out of her food bowl, which isn’t uncommon for her to not eat much when away from home. When looking today, 3/4 of the pre-portioned food bags we had sent were still in the bag. Not once, was her food freshened throughout her stay there, I figured that this would be common knowledge but maybe we needed to leave this as a special handling request? We gave this kennel a try, hoping for the best, in spite of the handful of negative reviews. But after our findings from her bag today, I can confidently say that our puppy’s first stay here will be her only stay.

When we adopted our Tilly in 2019, we were very limited in boarding options because she's a bully breed. We were worried we wouldn't be able to find a quality place but then, we found Curve Crest, and our worry disappeared. Our dog is very high maintenance between her illnesses / conditions and wildly spoiled home life but they treated her like the Princess she is. We always have the option to have them give her peanut butter Kongs, coordinate grooming services and even swim sessions! I am an obsessive dog mom and they are very patient with me when I text and ask for photos. She isn't good with other dogs and is provided her own outdoor time. Since my niece started bringing her dog, Crash, to CC as well, they are able to have kennels near each other and are able to share outdoor time together. We'll keep boarding as long as they'll keep having us!
