Please if you value your belongings, do not rent from this company. This is my personal experience with them at the Northline location, and it has been a total mess. I've being ignored as brown insulation on the ceiling and walls has fallen over everything in the unit. Rats big as, from the tip of your finger to your elbow, including the tail has left dropping and urine over everything front to back. They've chewed up medical supplies, my sewing items, thread, brief case, in a tall roller cart, every fish tank pumps wires into many peices, bunk bed side boards, moisture has rusted my medical equipmen, and the list goes on. I'm 70 and disabled and do not drive for medical reasons. Each time that I go, I'm on metrolift (handicapped transportation) so it's in my profile that I call them to open the gate. Because I'm not in a car to open the gate electronically, I call customer service to get out also. This was reported in February and as Curio staff sits on their hands my belongings are being destroyed. They lie to me on a regular basis. Even the manager Maria laughing at my situation, as I spoke to her on the phone Friday. I've spoke to Maria quite a few times previously, and her attitude wasn't pleasant in the least in those calls. Daniel and agent blocked both my cell numbers because another tenant, who had saw me on a walker, stopped to ask if I needed any assistance. I asked him if he'd had any issues with rats and was told no because they hardly put much in there. As my back was to my unit, as we spoke, he said there goes a big rat out the top of the unit, where the top beam of the ceiling meets the beam running up the back frame. Rats has ran me out 4x and with each time I've reported it and many photos of the mess, rat droppings, damaged items, insulation falling by text , as requested by Curio customer service agents. But I've gotten no response, solution yet. In reporting the other tenant having saw a rat going out, where I'd many times told them where many times before, when I called to get out, from both my cell phones, it said I was not allowed to call the location nor customer service, and stayed this was until Storage Shield, their insurance carrier, let them know, there's no way to handle business if I'm unable to communicate with them. The only way that I was able to get out was to call 911 HPD. I called each number for 1 officer to hear what the recording said. Both were out done this was about 5 pm and cs closes at 6 pm. Curio saw on their video cameras the officers bamming on the office door, still the gate didn't open. They asked why why Curio had locked me in and I explained the tenant seeing the rat. Because they were unable to get into the red box, HFD was called, they couldn't understand either, shaking their head, just out done. The officer's who had left came back to make sure that I'd gotten out. I call, call, call after being unblocked, and get nothing but lies. They setup an appointment time with Storage Sheild, yet failed to show up nor communicated they were not going to appear. Overall if you truly treasure your items, belongings, memories, do not rent from this company. They accept no responsibility for their miss management of their facility at your expense. You report an serious, health issue with your unit, and they will ask when are you moving as to not face the next month rent, point blank. Not many of any of us has funds to jump from facility to facility and more so when your disabled and on a fixed income. Every single item in my unit that's salvagable has to be sanitized, washed and/or cleaned. Wood rats urine, feces, brown insulation, and moisture from the insulation no longer effective to keep it out and crumbling away. Please, Please take my experience as an elderly, handicapped person being abused, gaslighted, ignored,
