I rented this storage after finding them online, after calling them multiple times quite a few times.. I read the reviews and felt that all was good. I asked the agent to call me on the January 27th after reserving through the agent, to complete the process. My son began moving my item's in on the 28th. I don't drive and disabled. I called on the 29th because my son said they needed to leave the South Side to go to the North Side and still have time to unload because there was no lights in the unit, so I called Curio letting them know the light was out and was told that they would let the manager of the property know. I called back today Feb 4 to see had it been taken care of. It had not. After being placed on hold a few times, I'm told the new rentals does not have lights in them and something about the light company. I guess when they acquired the place the older tenants still have lights but not the new rental persons. I asked why was I not told they had no lights in the beginning and allowed me to decide whether that would work for me? I got no answer. I was asked the day I'd called about the lights, if I wanted to move to another unit, I told her 2 uhaul's had been delivered already, and financially it didn't make sense to rent a uhaul again and pay workers too. I asked why this was seemed to be the only time the staff and the renter found this out. This was so unfair, I've never rented a storage that didn't have light. They close at 9 pm and it starts getting dark about 5;30 pm. Then he tells me I'm not under contract and can move somewhere else, when I asked why wasn't I told they didn't have light's in the unit. There's storages all over that area, but I went on the reviews that have all the information period. That $179.06 which was half off for 3 months, uhaul $203.00, worker for 3 days $210, not counting gas. We're trying to save and living from pay check to pay check. I find it so sad nobody can be trusted today. They said people were stealing the light bulbs when they move out. That may be part true, but not many going to get up in a ceiling and take light bulbs out. Many people just don't have time for that type craziness. Just say you didn't want to pay the light bill anymore and to not lose customers you grandfathered in the old customers that were already there. A STORAGE WITHOUT LIGHTS IN IT.
Sir, this is something that should be on your website under your features. Everyone looks to see what's most important to them. It was just wrong not to give all of the features of your faculty versus just part of them. You were well aware that many would have passed Curio by. It could be freezing, raining outside and surely would come into the storage with that door up. All that had to be done, was to be honest.
