WOW, WOW!, WOW!! Andy came over, looked over my Brazilian Cheery wood floor and recommended I strip off the wax, sand and re-finish. He fit my job in on short notice to proceed and the results are truly amazing. The work was done quickly, on time and on budget. Great Job!

- Terrible communication -- never answered or returned phone calls.
- Shoddy work -- did a poor job filling cracks and holes we had in our floor (and specifically asked them to fill)
- Ripped us off -- we paid for water-based coating ($300 extra), instead they put on the less expensive polyurethane coating and wouldn't return phone calls.
I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. Terrible.

I would give no stars if I could. Very inferior work. They completely destroyed our floors and trim work. Find someone else.
Frequently Asked Questions About Cummings Hardwood Floors Ltd
How can I ensure I'm choosing the right flooring contractor?
Choosing the right flooring contractor is crucial for achieving the desired outcome of your flooring project. Opt for a contractor with significant experience, as expertise and skill are paramount, not just low pricing. A lower cost might indicate a rush job, compromising the quality of work. Remember, flooring installation is an art honed over years of practice, and cutting corners can lead to unsatisfactory results. Your floor shouldn't be the experimental ground for an inexperienced contractor.
Why is it important to hire an insured flooring contractor?
Hiring an insured flooring contractor is vital for the protection of your investment. Flooring materials are costly, and improper installation might not become apparent for months. An insured contractor is legally required to guarantee their work and rectify any installation-related issues, whereas an uninsured contractor may leave you to bear the cost of their mistakes. Additionally, insured contractors can provide proof of insurance, safeguarding homeowners from liability for any accidents on their property.
What should I know about subflooring?
Understanding subfloor preparation is key to a successful flooring installation. The subfloor must be thoroughly cleaned before installation to avoid any installation failures. Improper subfloor preparation can lead to severe issues, such as glue failure or moisture-related problems causing the wood to swell. Ensuring your subfloor is adequately prepped is a critical step that shouldn't be overlooked.
