I stopped by around 5 o’clock—granted, it was late in the day. Whenever I visit a pawn shop for the first time, I like to ask if they carry the kind of items I’m interested in. At the time, I was looking for game consoles and video games.
When I asked the guy working there, he barely responded—maybe he didn’t hear me, since he seemed more focused on the news playing on the TV. So, I browsed on my own and found some games behind a glass case, but there were no price tags. I asked how much they were, and he said $15, claiming they were all PS5 games.
I pointed out that not all of them were PS5—some were PS4 and PS3. He came over, checked, and admitted I was right. I then asked how much the PS4 games were, and he said $5. I asked the same about the PS3 games, and again, he said $5.
I asked if he could work with me on the price of the PS3 games, considering he was charging the same as for PS4. He didn’t respond—just gave me a look that basically said “take it or leave it.”
After that, I looked around a bit more and then left. I won’t be going back.
