My mother whom is elderly had three unexplained charges on her bank account. The amount of outages daily is beyond inconvenient and they manipulate price. I paid over $315 for cable & internet. We switched to Ideatek a fee days ago & love it! We will never go back to Cox.
Run & run fast! Every time I go in, the employee, Raeley hass been awful to work with. She has an attitude every time with a demeaning tone will add services to your account without your knowledge. Their internet is atrocious, their modems are refurbished, they're filthy when you sign up for internet & cable boxes are always going out. I have had to replace four boxes within a month and they sent a technician out, took eight days to get out there & he didn't find anything wrong with the cable. I spoke with the tech about how infuriating it is going in there because Raeley is always very disrespectful, not to just me, but others as well. The tech laughed and stated "yeah, she isn't the nicest. " and apologized on her behalf. She can never answer your questions, but just directs you to customer service. Prices hike without knowledge or consent!

I don't know if this is a Cox company issue or a specific store issue, but my order (with a limited time discount offer) didn't show up in the system, and then I waited an hour and a half to receive a significantly worse internet plan than what I had agreed to (as in, before I came to the store to pick up my equipment), for a higher cost.
Fortunately, when I took their advice and called Cox afterward, I was able to get the original plan again. Also, the customer service person on the phone told me that my plan wasn't supposed to have been changed like it was in the store.
I don't want to blame the employees for this, as I think they did really try to fix my situation at the store, but it wasn't a good time. Either the employees need to have permission to give me my original plan or they should know that they should just call the same person I called, so that both they and the customer don't waste a ton of time.
Also, I was just there to get equipment. Do your own research before going to the store, because they tried to convince me that my 300 mbps (which everyone online says is plenty good enough for 1 person and indeed is working well as I'm typing this) wouldn't be fast enough and also that I should consider switching my phone plan to Cox.
Giving 3 stars because in the end, I got a good deal.

absolutely hands down the worst service, the people are always nice enough when we have to call, but getting ahold of someone real is like pulling teeth. Connection constantly goes out even though we pay over 160 dollars a month for whatever reason. Constant outages but when you check the app there’s always ‘no known issues’, when there is an issue you can’t even get ahold of a real person to tell you what the issue is they simply tell you they realize there’s a problem and then do not take your call, we recently replaced our modem because the customer service SWORE it was either that or that we would need to upgrade our plan for ANOTHER 30 dollars a month to fix the issue. Absolutely will be switching services the second the one we want becomes available in our area. Waste of time and money, hate this service.

The customer service in store is amazing all the employees are very knowledgeable patient and help assist my grandma with her phone and internet products. Only reason I gave it a 3 start bc all the promotions are for new customers there no promotion for existing customers
