I've had cox wifi at my business for 2 years. My wifi service goes out way to frequently which means no music in my gym. I can't run my business like that. Also, cox doesn't give you any credit when even though you are paying for a service that they are not providing. Honestly, that's a terrible business practice. So I'm switched to Starlink, SOOO much better. And cheaper. When I called to cancel my account, the cox rep told me I had to pay another 30 days even though I was originally told I could cancel any time by one of their reps. In addition, they said I couldn't cancel my account without the talking to the "manager" on my business account. They wouldn't give me her contact, they said she would contact me. I'm just going to block them from billing me. It seems like Cox Cable is running a scam, not a real business.

I’ve been a Cox customer for years and normally keep my account in good standing. After a recent family loss, I fell behind for the first time. I paid the past due balance immediately, but when I called to settle my account, I was transferred multiple times, left on hold for over an hour, and told conflicting information by reps. One agent (“Reg”) promised a $32 outage credit but tried to apply it to the next billing cycle — which would disappear if I cancel. I’ve had frequent outages, often weekly, but Cox only credited a fraction of what was fair. When I asked for a simple one-month courtesy credit to close out cleanly, I was met with resistance and dismissive attitudes. Total, I’ve spent over 2 hours on the phone being shuffled around with no empathy or real resolution. It feels like Cox is more interested in protecting their metrics than taking care of loyal customers. I’m sharing this here so others know what to expect, and so management sees how difficult it is to get basic fairness and accountability from their support system.

Have had two (to be fair, short) outages since I moved here just five days ago and I really hope this is not the norm

Overly expensive, chat assistance is a joke. I messaged to cancel services, gave me the run around for 20 min. I’ll buy a starlink before I use this mess again. Would give no stars if I could.
