i tried canceling 2x to no avail. support was not intelligent. added more to my ledger. cancelling was a hassle and took 40 minutes. never using cox again

Very difficult to get the help you need. They have a monopoly here in SB and they are abusing that.

Believe people when they tell you to avoid Cox at all costs.
I called Cox on July 18 to cancel services effective August 4th, when I moved. I thought everything was taken care of.
But Cox didn't end my services. They kept my plan going, and they kept charging me; even though I wasn't living there and even though my modem was no longer connected. Cox messed up by not cancelling my services when I called.
I don't want my credit to be impacted, with Cox saying "You didn't pay your bill." I contacted Cox to cancel service. They say "we have no record you cancelled on the phone."
I hope I'm able to resolve this by disputing the transaction with my credit card company, because Cox customer service hasn't been helpful.

David is wonderful!! He opened the door for me when I entered and left the store. He was prompt and courteous. He helped me solve my issue and was extremely helpful and hands-on. By far the best experience I’ve had at one of these stores. Would recommend promoting David.
