Looks bigger in pictures, but was fun nonetheless. Food wasn't too good, but nice ambiance. Beautiful fall leaves. Definitely a fun place for romance rekindling and such.

Fall foliage is always beautiful in the Poconos. Spent 4 nights and 5 days at Paradise Stream, a couples only resort Beginning to end was very enjoyable. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. There are plenty of activities to do if you choose. There was a carriage ride around the resort. And the Haunted Trail was awesome! Very well done and hopefully will be done every fall. Decorations around the resort are great- very festive.

Room was what we expected for the weekend. However, the hot tub leaked, the amenities of a blow dryer and coffee creamer and sugar we're absent from the room.

After driving 5 1/2 hours, we arrived at 3:30, check in time. Room wasn't ready. It was really busy and LOTS of couples were waiting for their rooms. We went to the game room for a bit, went back after an hour, still not ready. Couldn't tell us when it would be. By 5:00 we were done. We were tired and just wanted to relax in the room before dinner! Asked to talk to manager. Took 20 minutes to find her. We demanded a full refund. She agreed to do so. She was nice about it, and the woman at the main desk was patient with us and kept her cool, though could tell she was (understandably) very frustrated. We drove a mile up the road and checked into the Mt. Airy casino. For basically the same price we got a beautiful king suite. Not on a lake but will take a luxury hotel room over the run-down "lovers resort" any day. Wasn't impressed with the condition of the amenities we saw while at Paradise Stream. In the game room/pool building alone, the mini golf was pretty run down, Ms. Pac Man game didn't work, one bowling alley was broken, pool tables pretty crappy, one of the hot tubs was drained. And the ONLY ice machine in the whole resort (I use that term loosely) was in the game room! No where near any of the rooms/suites! I wouldn't recommend going here. It's where we spent our honeymoon, and we came back for our 25th anniversary, but it was a big disappointment. Also, just an fyi, it definitely seemed like most of the guests were at least over 50, probably over 60. (We are in our 50s.)
