we booked this nearly a month in advance for a standard king bedroom. they gave our room away because they overbooked. so they gave us a double room. when we questioned, the woman at the desk was extremely unapologetic about the issue because we booked through a third party. why would they even offer third party booking if they don’t honor those reservations? i asked about compensation for giving the room away and it was basically a “sucks to suck” response, but don’t worry we got 2 complimentary water bottles to make up for it.
prices are not upfront. there’s a mandatory $55 valet fee per night. this was NOT reflected on the third party site either. it says parking and valet parking on the listing. again, don’t list on a third party site if you’re not even going to be accurate.
also the beds are disgusting. the bed skirts are stained so bad. absolutely filthy. other guests are blaring music at 2am and some of them are just sitting in the hallway in clothes just as nasty as the beds.
i do not recommend this place and i hope people read this review and it stops them from booking until they fix their issues with customer service and cleanliness.

A Highly Successful 10-Day Conference Stay
Stay Dates: October 7th - 16th, 2025 Group: Multi-faceted conference group (36 attendees + Senior Leadership Team) Planner Location: Nashville, TN (Never been onsite)
Our recent 10-day conference at The Courtland Grand Hotel in Atlanta was a highly successful event, supported by the exceptional support and coordination of their staff. Planning a multi-faceted event of this size from Nashville, TN, without ever being onsite, was simplified by a team that made the entire process efficient and the execution highly professional. Every staff member we interacted with demonstrated professionalism and a commitment to guest service.
Beyond the exceptional staff, the hotel's facilities match their represented images. The Executive Boardroom was perfect for our 6 Senior Leaders to meet during the first half of our stay, providing an ideal executive environment. Additionally, our Senior Leaders reserved the Wine Room within Fandangles for their Welcome Dinner, finding it to be a quaint and roomy setting that offered a private atmosphere away from the regular hustle and bustle. We utilized the Athens Meeting room for our Welcome Dinner, which comfortably accommodated our entire 36-person group on their first day, and the Georgia Hall served as an excellent classroom setting on our final day. The courtyard is exactly as expected and became a favored spot for many of our attendees to utilize for casual networking. For personal downtime, my favorite spots to work were the Skyview Terrace and the quiet lounge area just around the corner from the Starbucks, both of which offered a strong Wi-Fi connection and little foot traffic.
Summary
The success of our 10-day conference truly rests on the responsiveness and partnership demonstrated by every team member named above. Their collective effort ensured a smooth, successful stay for our entire group. We highly recommend The Courtland Grand for complex events, as their staff—from pre-planning to checkout—sets a strong standard for professional, attentive service.
Close to Centennial park, about a 20 minute walk. Overall nice hotel. They do not offer breakfast complimentary but do give a complimentary $10 voucher to their little convenience shop on the third floor. They also do not offer complimentary parking it cost about $55 for valet parking. There are parking garages nearby that are a bit cheaper. The inner pool area with the trees were nice. The room itself was fair. It did feel clean but slightly outdated. The doors to the room do not really block out sound, as people were in the hallway coming back at midnight and it was very easy to hear them. The bathroom door was sliding and did not close fully, as well as someone's nipple pasties were left on the shower walls. Further there wasn't any hand soap, so had to reach into the shower to use the shampoo on the wall.
The front desk staff was friendly. Told them about my reservation, I knew I was going to be charged an extra $30 upon arrival for some fee that they do have written on their website as well as my credit card company made me aware of, but just be aware they actually make you pay a $100 deposit, and the $30 will be deducted from that deposit. If you are wondering, yes you will get most of the deposit back.
Overall, only stayed a night, got it for a reasonable price booking through my credit card company. Despite all my comments, I still think it's a decent hotel and would consider staying again.

More bad than good when it comes to this hotel. I stayed here for two nights/three days and i was absolutely ready to go. Valet parking, which is all they had, was $55/night and they don't help unload the vehicle. Per hotel staff, they aren't allowed to. I had to ask an extremely helpful employee in the lobby named Andrew to help and he did. Thank goodness for him. The rooms and hotel itself are in severe need of remodeling. Wallpaper and paint peeling, bathroom door made this horrendous sound when you slide it open and closed, and door to the balcony was probably older than me. We booked a room with a pool view and couldn't even see the pool at all because of the structure built around it. We were on the 4th floor by the way. Housekeeping never stopped by the room! We had to call to get extra towels and blankets and on the day of checkout, they entered the room without announcing themselves or knocking. We weren't even at checkout time yet so imagine our surprise when she entered the room while we're trying to relax. Worst of all, the room had roaches! BIG ONES. I have NEVER stayed in a hotel with roaches ever in my life and i am terrified of them. I didn't sleep good at all the entire stay out of fear of one coming near me. The only decent thing was the location and its proximity to all of the activities we were in Atlanta for. There is so much more i can go on about but i wanted to keep it short and sweet for those reading. I will never stay here again. NOT EVEN FOR FREE!!

Location is good, amenities good; staff and customer service was THE WORST we’ve ever experienced!
After being on the road for over 5 hours, we ended up waiting in-line for over an hour to check-in. Maybe it was a big event happening, but for the money you pay for this hotel, you’d expect them to be professional and plan for those days when they obviously know there is going to be a large group checking-in.
Also for the money you pay, I wasn’t expecting to only get housekeeping every 3 days. Not the biggest deal, but would’ve been nice to know. Oh by the way, there were makeup stains on our sheets when we got to our room, so we were stuck with that.
Since we didn’t get housekeeping, we still wanted some fresh towels. The phone in the room didn’t work, so we tried calling the front desk from our cell phone. After not being able to reach anyone for 20 minutes, we walked to the front desk to request the towels, which they said they would send some up. “Maybe” someone brought the towels to our door and we missed them before we got back to the room, but there were no towels left in our room. So, I walked back to the front desk where I had THE RUDEST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER at a hotel. At 11:30pm on October 12, 2025, there were two female employees behind the front desk engaged in a conversation with each other. After not being acknowledged, I just walked right up to the desk. I explained that we requested towels and never received them. She unenthusiastically said, “Ok.” Literally that’s all she said. I added, “Well I’m in room # xxx just in case there was a mix up,” and she rolled her eyes and again, all she said was “Ok.” Obviously confused, I asked “well can you send somebody up or how does it work?” She replied, “yeah,” and rolled her eyes and continued the conversation with the other coworker that was standing there. So instead of escalating the situation, I just walked away. We never received those towels. I went downstairs at 8:30am this morning to request towels again; it’s now after 9am and still no towels.
Would I stay here again? Yes, because now I know what to expect. Expectations are now extremely low.
