I was one who was NEVER going to put her child in daycare. Our finances said otherwise. My son began as a 21 month-old and I never once regretted my choice. When my daughter was born, I was getting a divorce, my son was starting 1st grade and Coulee Children's Center became our "constant". We were loved, valued, and taken care of. My son is now in college and my daughter in high school. Both have the most solid of foundations in part to their being a part of Coulee Children's Center.

I brought my daughter to the infant room. While she was there I noticed things that made me nervous to have another child attend the room.
They would wrap babies in blankets and at one point I had to remove a blanket from a babies face that was up to his forehead. Even after informing the Director they still swaddled the babies this way. One day I walked in and a 4 month old was sleeping in a swing facing the wall with a burp rag covering her eyes. The staff could not see her and said it was to block the lights. Another day a baby was laying on their back with a bottle they could barely hold. They don’t require parents or staff to take off their shoes even in the winter so my 1 year old had a piece of gum in her mouth. I left the daycare because I would not trust another infant there. I also felt very unwelcomed by some staff. I brought all these issues to the Director and not one thing changed.
