Disappointed by Ongoing Inconsistencies
I used to enjoy Cottage Inn Pizza, but unfortunately, the experience has become increasingly hit-or-miss — and mostly a miss lately.
The biggest issue is the inconsistency. You never know what you're going to get. Sometimes the pizza has a nice thick crust, other times it's paper-thin and overcooked, or doughy and undercooked. Same goes for the sauce — sometimes it tastes like decent pizza sauce, and other times it tastes like straight tomato paste, or there’s barely any sauce at all. Toppings are also all over the place — generous on one visit, barely there the next.
The calzones are another gamble. They might look golden on top, but the bottoms are often soggy and underdone, like they were rushed out of the oven too soon. It’s frustrating to pay for something and not even be able to eat half of it.
Even the salads, which you'd hope would be a safe bet, are disappointing. For $8, you get a small portion shoved into a Styrofoam burger container, mostly lettuce with a couple toppings thrown on as an afterthought. Definitely not worth the price.
At the end of the day, it feels like your experience depends entirely on who's working that day — and that’s not the kind of reliability you want when you're ordering food. Cottage Inn could be great if they worked on consistency and quality control, but right now, it’s just a gamble I’m not willing to keep taking.
