Cortese Automotive is by far one of the absolute worst car dealerships in all of Rochester. They treat you like gold when buying a vehicle only to turn around and treat you like absolute trash when you need service work. Based on all the reviews this is a common theme. 2yrs ago bought a brand new $97K Ram 2500.. 12k miles on front tires started cupping and chipping, took it in to check the front, nothing was wrong according to my horrible service advisor Mike. Told me factory tires are soft cheap low quality tires, mind you the tires on the truck are $650 a tire, hardly call them cheap. At this point he refused to rotate because it would cause the rear end to feel like it was "skating on ice". After another 6k miles driving the truck with uncontrollable shaking I replaced them with $2K set of different high quality 65K mi warranty tire. Took them in after 7k miles to get rotated, (not sure they were even rotates. Fast forward 5k miles and the front tires once again are completely chipped and cupped. Took my truck in on Sept 30th for my scheduled appointment to get it looked at. When I set up the appointment I made note of my concerns being an issue with the front end and worn tires. After waiting 20mins for my horrible advisor Mike to show up, first words out of his mouth were "great timing, tomorrow starts our tire sale". Tires are 10 months old with 15k miles, why on earth would I need new tires. Definitely rubbed me the wrong way. I waited all day and received a text at 445pm that they hadn't even looked at the truck due to being short staffed, whats the point of an appointment then? I received a call at 343pm the next day from Mike saying they didn't find anything wrong and that his boss said "well it's a big truck so its expexted". Who expects paying 2k+ for tires less than a year ago with 15k miles on them to expect that type of return on their investment. He proceeds to say after push back hes going to talk to his boss and Sr. Mechanic again and call me the next morning. Waited all day for a call and didn't receive it, call at 2pm to get an update and was told they were going to look at it again and check the alignment which was just done 10 months ago and was perfect at that time. I pushed back again to make sure they really look to try and diagnose the problem. I get a final call at 445pm telling me the alignment was perfect, thet "visually" inspected the suspension and nothing was wrong that it was my fault for either my driving style and not rotating them ever 1500 miles. Not happy with the response and continously being made out to be an idiot, multiple times I was told that Mike and his boss are truck guys and check their tires all the time and if im not im doing it wrong. I continued to press Mike only to be told that hes not making any money because they cant find a problem, he was hoping for a problem so they could make money. He continued to belittle and make me out to be some moron. I have owned 7 trucks prior and have never once had any issues like this with tires, do I expect 65k miles on a set, no, but I also dont expect $4K dollars worth of tires to be ruined after 15k miles each. Both sets, same issue, front end cupping and chipping. Mike offered no solution, just kept telling me it was on me. When I asked if they checked the balancing of the tires as a possible cause, I was immediately asked if I was going to pay for it and if I wasn't they weren't going to it, when I asked if they checked the balance of the tires at rotation I was told if I didn't ask they arent doing it. Why would I ask, Im paying professionals that are supposed to be certified mechanics, I would think they would know more than Joe Blow consumer, but again I'm the moron for not asking to check the balancing. Needless to say next to no work performed to address or fix the issue other than point fingers back at me. Long story short, STAY AWAY FROM CORTESE AND MIKE NAZZARO, unless you like being told your wrong and its your fault and it is what it is!! Stellantis and Mopar will hear about it.
