The front desk lady, Danita H, was amazing! She was so patient with me and helped with everything I needed without any attitude. I didn’t feel like I was bothering her at all — she was fantastic! The doctor (Red) who saw me was also very helpful and made me feel comfortable in a very uncomfortable situation.

Unfortunately, I had the displeasure of taking my daughter to this urgent care for symptoms consistent with a viral or bacterial infection. I was told by a completely inept NP that, although it was extremely unlikely for age, he thought my daughter had a blood clot in her lung. I'm not sure what he based his theory on, because he did not give her an examination. After being told that her grandparent is a pulmonologist, his theory quickly changed from a blood clot to her having an enlarged heart. I can't call either of his outlandish theories a diagnosis because that involves gathering data about medical history, assessing the patients physical condition and using reasoning based on medical knowledge. I could have respected him a lot more if he'd said that pediatrics aren't his thing and referred me to the pediatric ER for an evaluation. We ended up there anyway, where she was diagnosed with a viral infection and a normal sized heart and no blood clot.

I had a really wonderful experience at this Urgent Care. I scheduled an appointment for 6:30pm but came in around 5:30pm and then took me within 15 min of arrival. The RN & NP that assisted me were both very kind and patient.

Suffice it to say, I don’t like going to the dr. Low quality of care and long wait times are among my reasons. But when I do require care, I choose to go to Cone Health Urgent Care at Grandover. The staff is always friendly and compassionate and they provide a realistic expectation regarding wait times. I have even recommended them to friends.

I had a great experience here. I just got over pneumonia in my right lung, and began having rib pain on the right side. First I saw Amanda, who's in school to be a nurse practitioner, and took notes as she was listening to my symptoms, then put what I'd told her into her own words before she did a physical examination. I felt like someone was listening to me closely, something far too rare in the medical field. Then I saw Catharine Stanhope, who also listened carefully, examined me, and clearly explained why she thought it would be prudent for me to get a chest X-ray. It turns out the pneumonia is gone, that I'd simply pushed myself a little too hard exercising. I'd recommend either of the two women I saw to anyone. They were smart, friendly, funny, and they earned my trust from the start. From what I saw, this is a great practice.
