- RFRandy FrancisAug 19, 20255.0The drain lines on our mini splits were obstructed. I watched as Mike exposed the drains from behind the line hide and vacuumed the drain lines. Having watched this process, I now know how to add this to our regular maintenance of the systems. He did mention that the installation crew should have extended the drain lines down to prevent water damage to the deck and wood siding. This would also make the maintenance easier as the line hide would not have to be removed. He said he would make mention of his findings and suggestions when he returns to the office. This correction can be completed without me having to be present. I’m hoping his suggestions will be completed. There was no cost as the system is still under warranty.

If you are purchasing a system from us, we will do a load calculation to verify the size needed for your home.
If I replace my outdoor unit, do I also need to replace my indoor unit?
In most cases, yes, because air conditioners and heat pump outdoor units are manufactured to work with a matched indoor unit.
Why should I replace my R-22 outdoor with an R-410A?
R-22 is obsolete and very expensive if you can even find it.
What causes A/C units to freeze up?
Low refrigerant, dirty filter, and wear and tear to your system can result in leaks.
How often should I have my unit serviced?
You should have it serviced at least once a year, with our maintenance plan we come out twice a year for cooling components in the spring and heating components in the fall.

We offer free estimates on HVAC units and Installation.
