I would give zero stars if I could. I am bed-bound and I turned to Comfort Keepers because I needed reliable support. At first, the service seemed fine — the first 3 appointments went smoothly. But yesterday, I received a call from Melissa, who runs the office, saying my aid couldn’t come due to a family emergency. Although the aid was supposed to have arrived in under an hour, I understood, and simply asked that someone be sent today instead. Melissa assured me that would happen, and even gave me the name of the replacement.
This morning, no one showed up. There was no phone call, no text, no explanation. I reached out to Melissa multiple times, across multiple platforms, and she did not respond for over two hours. When she finally did return my call, she was abrasive and defensive, never taking responsibility for or even acknowledging that she had made a commitment to me the day prior. No empathy, apology or acknowledgement of our prior conversation. I terminated my contract with them on the spot due to Melissa's disgraceful customer service.
I was counting on this company during a very difficult and vulnerable time, and their lack of accountability left me stranded. For an organization that advertises dependable care, this was an unacceptable and distressing experience.
