  I was a little nervous leaving my dog since she’s used to being at home and doesn’t have much outside socialization, but the team at Colonial K-9 completely put my mind at ease. From the start, they were patient, attentive, and truly cared about making her comfortable. They even sent us cute photos while she was there, which was such a thoughtful touch and really helped put us at ease. I also love that they offer Sunday pickup, it made scheduling so much more convenient. When I picked her up, she was happy, well-cared for, and had no transition or adjustment needed when she got home. I could tell she had been given a lot of love and attention during her stay. I am so grateful for how they handled her quirky needs and made the experience stress-free for both of us. I have so much relief that I have found the perfect boarder for us! I highly recommend Colonial K-9 to anyone looking for a safe, caring, and thoughtful place for their fur babies.

  I did not use this place for services but I had to stop and leave a kind word! I had to go get an employee today while working and on the way I forgot to grab gas and ran out of gas at a bad intersection ( it’s been a hectic day ). The kind Owner, stopped asked if she could help, went and grabbed gas from her own home and came back and didn’t ask for anything in return. She was my savior that day especially with the heat. We laughed and she made me feel less stressed and only wanted to help. I’m glad there are still kind and wonderful people out here. Thank you again 🙏❤️ I won’t forget today!

  When I picked my dog up from boarding he was covered in urine. I was obviously extremely upset to find him in this condition, and two of the managers were shocked by my anger because "it happened days ago". Both kept repeating that he had been covered in urine "for days" and failed to grasp why I was angry. The neglect and abuse my dog suffered here had me absolutely furious, and likely behaving like a lunatic, but NO ONE made any attempt to reach me, NO ONE tried CLEANING HIM, IN FACT Colonial K9 did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to correct the problem they themselves had created! After getting home I discovered that he had not been fed to our request. So, they failed to let him out as needed, failed to feed him correctly, failed to take proper care of him, and failed to notify us of problems. He has had to be bathed TWICE!!! Bathed TWICE and SHAVED to get the yellow stains out of his fur as well as the smell out. Below are pictures of my dog when I picked him up, how he usually looks, and the last picture of how he looks today after having to be cut so short in order to get the stains out. My groomer was absolutely outraged seeing his condition! She couldn't believe they had done NOTHING to fix it, and had left him covered in pee for who knows how many days. He was in their care for 6 days, and for all we know he could have been covered in urine from the very first night there. After all no one said how many "for days" actually was. Still Colonial K9 seemed to care less. Each and every person there seemed to believe it normal to return dogs in this condition. The "managers" didn't think it a big deal, after all it happened "days ago", the owner took absolutely no responsibility for her employees or the condition in which my dog was in. Thereby leaving me to believe that absolutely nothing will change at this facility. I obviously will not be using this place again, and given the conditions I witnessed as well as the condition my dog was in when returned to me, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

  My two dogs were boarded here and I had no problems. This place is a very dog friendly place and people friendly
