  Our experience with Colonial was top-tier from the moment we reached out. After the sudden unexpected passing of my father, my brothers and I scrambled to figure out arrangements and Colonial was with us every step of the way. We never felt out of the loop or that we couldn’t reach out. Kate was incredibly helpful through this difficult time. She was so caring, gentle, and understanding. Even though we had our father cremated at another funeral home since he was out of town during his passing, Colonial was more than happy to provide services for our family. We felt a completely different vibe from Colonial than we did from the other funeral home and I wish we could’ve used them for all services. They truly care and want what is best for your family and your wishes. They had easels for photo boards, urns to choose from, connections with local florists, personalized prayer cards, help with the obituary, a slideshow during the service, a kneeler by the urn, and a podium/microphone for a eulogy and prayer. There’s no way it could have gone smoother. We felt that our dad was so respected throughout the entire process. Everything had a personal touch that truly represented my dad. My brothers and I are so happy to have worked with Kate and Colonial ❤️

  Every interaction with Kate was caring, compassionate, and so respectful of my husband's memory and my need to fulfill his wishes. She made a very difficult time in life as easy as possible for me and my family. I will forever be grateful for the grace shown to us. Thank you. Meredith Hall

  My mother recently passed away and we had her wake services held at Colonial Funeral Home in McHenry Il. We never imagined a wake could be as beautiful as hers was. The attention to detail by Bob, Maggie, and all the staff was amazing. Our mom had been bed sick and bedridden for some time. What a gift for our last memory to see her looking so beautiful as she did before she fell ill. Their attention to detail was amazing. The facilities were gorgeous and the staff were very kind and courteous. I would highly recommend using Colonial Funeral home in the unfortunate event of planning a funeral for your loved one. Carol
