Coast to Coast Pools recently completed a project for me, and the experience was great from the planning process through the build. However, what has impressed me the most is the customer service AFTER the project was completed. As with any new construction, there are always a few minor issues that need to be ironed out. Alyssa and Mackenzie are always responsive, polite, and incredibly efficient. I highly recommend Coast to Coast!
Frequently Asked Questions About Coast to Coast Pools
What should I do if my pump is not running?
For pool owners, begin by resetting the pump or filter pump breaker. Next, adjust the Intermatic timer to the correct time. Lastly, activate the orange or red switch located beneath the timer. These steps often resolve pump issues. For those with a pool and spa combination, only the pool pump or filter pump breaker needs to be reset. If these measures are ineffective, please contact Coast to Coast Pools for professional troubleshooting and repair services.
What should I do if water is starting and stopping from my fountain or waterfall or there is a weak flow?
Several factors may contribute to this issue. First, ensure your pool has sufficient water. The water level should reach halfway up the skimmer opening at the waterline tile. If it's below this point, fill the pool to the appropriate level. Second, check if the Weir door is stuck. If the flap inside the skimmer is obstructing water entry, gently move it to restore proper function. For weak waterfall flow, the filter may be the culprit. A clogged or aging filter can impede water flow. We recommend having our experts inspect the filter during our next maintenance visit.
What if my pool water gets too high?
If the water level touches the tile just below the curved coping brick, the level is acceptable. However, if you prefer to lower it, you can use the manual drain located at the pump. In case of heavy rainfall, rest assured that your home is protected from pool overflow. The deck is designed with a slope that directs excess water to decorative drains and then out into the yard. While it may take some time for the overflow system to manage heavy rain, water will continue to flow towards the deck drains, preventing flooding into your home.
Is my pool leaking?
It's typical for pools to lose up to two inches of water weekly due to evaporation. This amount may increase if you heat your pool or if there's significant splashing. To determine if you have a leak, we recommend conducting the bucket test. Place a filled bucket on a pool step or sun shelf, then mark the water level both inside and outside the bucket. Both levels should decrease at the same rate due to evaporation. If you notice a significant difference between the two levels, it may indicate a leak. In such cases, professional leak detection services would be necessary.
